How more DESPERATE can someone get!?! :-< A call that I got during the horrendous “TechTalk paper evaluation” period -

Mr.Despo : Hello, is this Vidya?

Me : Yes.

D : TechTalk organizer?

Me : Yes. (ada cha aamam!! enna venum)

D : Abacus, CEG?

Me : Yes. ( :(( :(( :(( :(( amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

D : Ok, i saw the results for prelims put up on site. (ok good.. adhuku enna ippo!?) My paper has not been selected. (So? / ) Wanted to talk about tht.. (nakkal dhane unaku! > )

[Tactic 1 : Flattery] Cant you do anythin abt it?

Me : Sorry but the results are final. [Tactic 1 fails]

[Tactic 2 : Show off might] but it was my FYP paper!! ENDHA YEAR NEENGA? (avar final year aam.. bayapadanum namma)

Me : Final Year.[Tactic 2 falls flat] (Mannu mari oru fyp topic!! adhuku ivlo pride eh!! adi! :-|)

[Tactic 3 : Sympathy] Oh but i was so sure abt selection that i already booked tickets!

Me : Oh sorry about that but i would help if only i could! ( :(( enna sonna you ll cut the call!?!? :(( )

[Tactic 4 : Instilling fear] What if some team doesnt turn up on the finals day!?!

Me : We have considered all that. (DEEIII veppiya matiya phone ah!!)

D : How many teams do you really need??

Me : (Exhaaaaaaaaaausted!!) Hello Hello hello hello!!! Can you hear me?? Oh no what a tragedy I am not able to hear you! ….. (appa saaaaamy aala vidu!)

I hereby devote my first post to BULBS… I take this opportunity to thank “everyone” who have made my life so BRIGHT! I also thank myself for making “everyone”’s job easier!

Mom : Inniku oru kalyanam iruku.. I am going along with chiti, want to join?

Me : No.. I wont know anyone there.. Neway got work. (??!! No tension :P)

Follows a sermon..

“There s a first time to everything! Come once n you will get to know people blah blah blah blah.. First learn to value people! blah blah……” Thankfully a telephone call came to my mom’s rescue (she hadnt taken time to breathe during the 10min!)

Mom : (on phone) oh apdiya…. ok I ll see to it.. No problem.. (To me) : Seems chiti has arranged some cab to drop n pick us up, so you dont have to come.

Me : (to myself) So much for “value people” etc! You only wanted me cos you dont know to drive!! Idhukaagave I will come! :-X

(to her) : Oh.. Seri its ok I will also come..

Mom : No actually 5 of us are alredy in, so wont be able to accomodate you!

(Enaku nalla venum.. Decent ah nee vara vendam nu sollumbodhey, should have shut up n gone back to work :-|)
